Jam Making


Today I have made a batch of Damson Jam, a good way of spending some time on a very wet and windy afternoon.  The removal of damson stones from a large pan of jam seemed to be taking forever, and just as I was losing all patience with the task I tasted the jam and remembered why it is all worthwhile! I just hope it sets properly…

There has been a large gap from the start of the blog until now, but we have been incredibly busy working on all our Lavender Sugar ventures.  The Afternoon Tea Service menu and pricing are now finalised and will be published here in the next day or two.  We have tweaked all our recipes and tested one or two new ones to expand our repertoire.

We have been sourcing trimmings and fabrics for our cushions and accessories and the sewing machines are whirring away at all hours! The search for old buttons continues…
